Say Hi To Falcon Crest's True Gentleman
When you see him every Friday night on Falcon Crest, you wonder if there ever could be anyone in real life that's as handsome, well-mannered and down-to-earth as Cole Gioberti! Once you've met Cole's counterpart, Billy Moses, you'll realize that indeed there is! For Billy is every bit as sweet, genuine, and good-looking as the character he plays!
A Los Angeles native, Billy comes from a showbiz family. Not only is his mom, Marian McCargo, an actress, but two of his three brothers, Harry and Rick, are also actors. Billy himself began acting in commercials at the age of seven.
By his early teens though, Billy's interest in acting waned, while his desire to play sports grew. He took his all-star basketball skills from high school to the University of Southern California and then to Wesleyan University in Connecticut. During those years, though, Billy was sometimes confused about what he wanted to do with his future. He thought about politics, business, and carpentry.
But he kept coming back to the family business-acting that is. Once he made his mind up, Billy went for it-he costarred in the film Choices plus appeared on the Love Boat. In 1981, Billy landed the role of wholesome Cole Gioberti on the weekly series Falcon Crest.
When this 24 year old isn't on the set, he keeps his 6' 1," 170lb. body in shape by lifting weights, playing tennis and taking modern dance lessons. Too, Billy's a real outdoorsman. He loves to water and snow ski and horseback ride. Billy always makes sure though, that he has enough time to devote to the Special Olympics for handicapped children. For the past two years, this sweetheart has volunteered his time to help kids who aren't as lucky as he is.
Billy's sensitivity is also quite apparent when it comes to women. This single, blond'n hazel eyed cutie is attracted to more than looks in a lady-for he likes women who are independent and have a sense of themselves and their goals. Nights out are usually spent taking in a movie or chatting over dinner (Oriental and Indian food really rate)!
Although he plans to continue on Falcon Crest for some time, he'd also like to pursue theater and film work one day. And with his charm, thoughtfulness, and good looks, Billy's sure to attain his dreams.
